That’s a good question! I too have been wondering about that for quite sometime now. :thinking: :exploding_head:

Back in April 2022 when Erik ten Hag was announced as Man United manager, I was quite optimistic and confident that he was “THE MAN” to turn around the club’s fate. He had an outstanding record at Ajax and was unarguably the best fit then.

I was rooting for a great comeback for Man United but I am puzzled by the lack of it now…:thinking:

In Erik ten Hag’s words then in April 2022:
Ten Hag says success is less to do with formation, and more to do with basic principles. He told DutchSoccerSite: “It’s not even about systems. It’s about what you do in possession, when you lose possession and in those turn around moments. And you need to be able to change that up.”

He added: “The players’ qualities determine how you play.”
