That’s a good question! I too have been wondering about that for quite sometime now. :thinking: :exploding_head:

Back in April 2022 when Erik ten Hag was announced as Man United manager, I was quite optimistic and confident that he was “THE MAN” to turn around the club’s fate. He had an outstanding record at Ajax and was unarguably the best fit then.

I was rooting for a great comeback for Man United but I am puzzled by the lack of it now…:thinking:

In Erik ten Hag’s words then in April 2022:
Ten Hag says success is less to do with formation, and more to do with basic principles. He told DutchSoccerSite: “It’s not even about systems. It’s about what you do in possession, when you lose possession and in those turn around moments. And you need to be able to change that up.”

He added: “The players’ qualities determine how you play.”

Honestly, it’s a mix of all three. INEOS has been part of ownership uncertainties, which might be affecting overall club stability. Erik ten Hag has made some questionable tactical choices, but he’s also working with a squad that lacks consistency.

I’m categorically blaming Ten Hag for United’s failure this season. He’s shown over and over again that he’s not capable of managing a club of United’s magnitude. He’s been backed up by the board to sign his own preferred players and has had 3 years to impose a style of play for the team but the team is still struggling without an identity till date.

Practically I will blame Ten Hag and INEOS, cause players has nothing to do with it, Ten Hag had his favorite players who he like to sign either the player is from Netherlands or from Ajax or from his former teams he managed before, Ten hag hasn’t display a professionalism in signing players, he also sign average players which is the major problem Manchester united is facing now, and the INEOS also to be blamed? Of Cause yes, they could have handed Ten hag the sack!!!
