Chennaiyin FC Boss ahead of the game

“We have two games to go and it is not just about the semis but to get good results. We will do everything to win and the time will come for the young boys also. We are preparing against NorthEast, that will be a tough game. We will approach the game similarly to how we faced FC Goa and our target is to win the game,” said Laszlo ahead of the match.

NorthEast United Assistant Manager ahead of the game

"We have to be prepared and not take it easy, just like the last match (against Odisha). The players have put in a lot of effort. They have shown determination and character on the pitch. I hope that they continue with the same spirit. We have to dictate the game and not give them time and space with the ball,” Highlanders assistant coach Alison Kharsyntiew said ahead of the match.

Chennaiyin FC 3-3 NorthEast United FC

Luis Machado converts the penalty conceded by Vishal Kaith in stoppage time to help NorthEast United equalise 3-3 with Chennaiyin FC. Vishal had pulled off a huge save just minutes ago to be the hero for Chennaiyin and then conceded the penalty that denied them the win again.

Khalid Jamil remains unbeaten and the draw here makes the race for the playoffs very interesting. NorthEast keep pace in the race and it remains tight between them, FC Goa and Hyderabad FC.

Unlucky for Chennaiyin FC as they played well once again and were about to win if not for the penalty. Lallianzuala Chhangte was the Hero of the Match for his brace and for getting Chennaiyin FC a penalty as well.

Chennaiyin FC Head Coach Csaba Laszlo After the Match

"I am the most unhappiest man today and again and again. There are mistakes we do again. I don’t want to criticise my team because we came back. We spoke about something in the dressing room. The last goal, it was a misunderstanding. He made a fantastic save before that. We can have a good team for the next season. Honestly, it is painful. We just give up points in the last seconds.

“I am proud of my boys because after the Goa game the season was finished for us. But even today, they showed they wanted to play football and enjoy it and even scored goals. But it’s been tough for us. One game this season was very bad against Hyderabad but generally the team has showed great character. This is also a development year. For next season, we have to think of what to do. I know but I can’t say right now.”

NorthEast United FC Head Coach Khalid Jamil After the Game

"We felt happy, we got one point. It’s a crucial point. Chennaiyin FC is a good team and they played good today.

"Actually we started the game defensively we were good but not offensively. We missed Gallego. But i think the next game will be good for us.

“We are playing with a good team against SC East Bengal. We have to be positive and go for three points.”

ATK Mohun Bagan FC vs SC East Bengal (Kolkata Derby)

ATK Mohun Bagan and SC East Bengal will clash in a vital Indian Super League (ISL) fixture at the Fatorda Stadium in Margao on Friday.

ATK Mohun Bagan are currently atop the table with 36 points from 17 matches. The winner of the league stage of the ISL will get to play in the AFC Champions League. The Mariners can’t afford to take their foot off the pedal as second-placed Mumbai City FC are just two points behind.

On the other hand, SC East Bengal can’t qualify for the playoffs. The ISL debutants have just 17 points from as many matches. Winning all three of their matches will only see SC East Bengal reach 26 points, one behind current fifth-place holders NorthEast United FC.

With SC East Bengal having a subpar ISL debut campaign, they will be desperate to win the Kolkata Derby to give their fans something to cheer about.

ATK Mohun Bagan won the reverse fixture 2-0, courtesy of goals from Roy Krishna and Manvir Singh. However, a lot has changed since then.

SC East Bengal have brought in several Indian players in the January transfer window, with Bright Enobakhare also joining the Red and Gold brigade. Meanwhile, ATK Mohun Bagan have signed the likes of Lenny Rodrigues and Marcelinho to further strengthen their squad.

ATK Mohun Bagan vs SC East Bengal head-to-head

The first meeting in the ISL was, in fact, the 372nd meeting between the two sides (if all competitions are considered). There is very little to choose between the two teams in the overall head-to-head record just showing how closely-fought the rivalry has been over the years. ATK Mohun Bagan came out victorious in the reverse fixture though. Which was their first ever meeting in the ISL.

Players to Watch

Roy Krishna (ATK Mohun Bagan)

The ISL top scorer has seven goals in the last five games heading into the match against SC East Bengal and will be salivating at the thought of bypassing their vulnerable backline.

Bright Enobakhare (SC East Bengal)

If ATK Mohun Bagan have Krishna leading their line, SC East Bengal also have a very bright attacker. The former Wolves man has been the brightest spark in Robbie Fowler’s attack this season and produced some extremely memorable moments with his dribbling ability and tendency to pull off the extraordinary.

TACTICAL MASTERCLASS

Sometimes it seems that Habas is a chess player.

3-4-3 base, 3-3-4 attacking, 4-3-3 defensive.

This team is fluid. Manvir and Subhasish is more than impressive.

Half time review is coming. Stay tuned.

Kolkata Derby 1 all

ATKMB is far ahead that SCEB.

Although the scoreline is 1 all. It’s TIRI’s own goal.

SCEB stands with 0 shots on target.

It’s derby situations will come that’s obvious.

Again I think ATKMB needs to push ome midfield player.

Actually Manvir was playing in 3 different position. Defense, mid and attack. From right side.

He was good but tactically Prabir is a better choice in that position, in 2nd half we may see him.

Raju got a dangerous spot in the left for throw in.

But in 2nd half more goals will come, ATKMB will surely win.
