Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul got India off to a great start on Day 2. Rohit Sharma lost his wicket at the stroke of lunch after scoring 36 runs. Rahul went on to score his 12th Test half-century.
But England made a comeback in the second session as James Anderson got the wickets of Cheteshwar Pujara and skipper Virat Kohli in consecutive deliveries. Ajinkya Rahane also lost his wicket, thanks to Jonny Bairstow’s direct. Rahul had a reprieve as Dom Sibley dropped him in the slips before bad light stopped play followed by rain interruption.
