Can Chelsea challenge Liverpool and Man City for the PL title next season?

Frank Lampard has been impressive in his first season as a manager of Chelsea ,with the Blues on course for a Champions League spot. While their attacking threat has been impressive, with the likes of Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham. The defence needs consistency and Lampard must find his strongest pairing and stick to it next season.

The season has yet not finished but the Blues have already secured two massive signings in the form of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner.

The top two clubs in England (Liverpool and Manchester City) right now have two of the best managers in the world with plenty of experience and also have squads that can be termed among the best in the world. Lampard will need time to find the ridiculous level of consistency Liverpool have shown this season but he sure looks to be heading in the right direction.

After watching yesterday’s FA Cup semi-final clash against United, Chelsea can even think of winning the Premier League next season. Lampard in his debut season as a manager has done excellent work in finding young blood and academy players to compete in the top tier competitions. With hazard’s transfer amount still left unspent and rightful tactical signing like Ziyech and Werner they are surely in the right spirit to clash against the heavyweight of England. For now, Lampard will just be focusing on securing the Champions league spot and to win the FA Cup.

Its an absurd question. Chelsea are struggling to get the top four this season and talking about winning the league is highly demanding. Its true that they added Werner and Ziyech but does that mean they can go all the way to win the trophy? They need atleast one CB, one LB and one GK to confirm their Champions League spot let alone winning the top-tier. I agree that Frank Lampard has redeemed themselves but one bad game for Manchester United doesnt mean that he can defeat Pep and Klopp to claim the title.
