Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta spoke to the press after the 3-1 win over Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday. The Spanish manager spoke about Kai Havertz and the big mistake he made on the pitch.

“I said to him [Havertz] on Saturday when things are hard in the beginning when I met my wife it was hard in the beginning. I had to work and message, if she says yes on the first day it is probably no good,” he said.

“[What won her over?] persistence, I think. We took the plane on Sunday, we took the metro. We win games, and that’s the beauty of it.”

The London side should have taken the lead in the 13th minute but new signing Kai Havertz miskicked horrendously from inside the area with the goal at his mercy.

Kai Havertz miskicked a ball from a good goal scoring position early on in the game. This blunder created a lot of controversy on social media as the midfielder’s goalscoring abilities were questioned.
