Match Report

Liverpool have moved to the top of the Premier League table after beating a resurgent Crystal Palace at Anfield.

Wilfried Zaha forced Alisson to scramble the ball away from goal just a couple of minutes in as Palace looked to rattle the hosts early on, but Sadio Mane tucked home the opener from a rebound shortly before half-time.

The enthralling encounter was then settled on 78 minutes through Mohamed Salah, who was on hand to latch on to Virgil van Dijk’s formidable header to power beyond Vicente Guaita just yards out.

There was even time for substitute Naby Keita to add a third for the hosts before the final whistle, having thumped a scorching effort into the back of the net.
