The 2020-21 Premier League Season was another COVID-19-interrupted season played out without fans for the most part. Manchester City comfortably claimed the 2020/21 title. The relegation places were also settled relatively early and the Top four battle was Epic as usual. though there were a few surprises this season too.
In this thread, we will be doing a recap of the season by naming your:
Despite the ups and downs Liverpool managed the top 4 spot and with today’s win secured the 3rd spot - Not bad!
Chelsea did pretty good as well after Tuchel took in charge. Tuchel’s first task of lifting the side back into the Top 4 spots has been accomplished.
Next stop UCL Final!
West Ham qualified for the Europa League- Well done!!
With the 2020/21 English Premier League season coming to an end, only one outfield player played at least 10 full matches without being dribbled past - Arsenal’s centre-back David Luiz (20 apps - 1399’ played).
Most assists provided in the 2020/21 Premier League season:
◉ Harry Kane (14)
◎ Kevin De Bruyne (12)
◎ Bruno Fernandes (12)
◎ Jack Grealish (10)
◎ Son Heung-min (10)
◎ Raphinha (9)
◎ Jamie Vardy (9)
◎ Marcus Rashford (9)
Even I feel it has to be Harry Kane this season as he has performed exceptionally well, being the top scorer and having most assists.
David Moyes
I think David Moyes has been one of the best managers this season leading West Ham into the Europa League.
Under the management of David Moyes West Ham have set a new club record scoring 65 points in a single season. Its also their best league position since finishing 5th in 1998/99.
Jesse Lingard
If West Ham had Jesse Lingard the entire season they could have been competing for the PL title.
The England international has been amazing since joining the club on loan in January. He has scored 9 goals and has given 4 assists in just 10 appearances.
Alisson Becker’s header against West Brom
This goal was not an exceptional goal, but proved to be very crucial for Liverpool in their quest to qualify for the Champions League. Also you don’t see a goalkeeper scoring a match winning goal very often
