Who was the most underrated player in Premier League this season?

The domestic season in Europe’s top 5 leagues have found their champions, top goal scorers, the team of the season and whatnot. However, there were a number of players who went under the radar this season and deserve far more recognition than they have earned over the course of the campaign. Who according to you was the most underrated player in 2019/20 season?

  1. Danny Ings- After 3 unfortunate seasons at Liverpool marked by injuries, Danny Ings went on loan to Southampton in 2018/19, his great performance that season was enough for the Saints to make his presence permanent. In season 2018/19, Ings scored 8 goals in 25 appearances. This season Ings showed how lethal he is in front of goal, the Englishman netted 22 goals in total and stood third in the race behind Vardy and Aubameyang for the golden boot. His goals helped the Saints finish in the 11th position despite their 9-0 defeat against Leicester. Southampton conceded 20 goals in 5 games after that game against Leicester but Ings still managed to find the net four times in 5 games. He buckled up scoring nine in the next 10 and looking at his performance this season, this man should absolutely be in the England picture for this summer’s Euros.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is one of the most underrated player of the premier league!

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is a 23 year old English professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Premier League club Manchester United.

Wan-Bissaka began his career with Crystal Palace In 2019, he moved to Manchester United for £45 million.

He has 25 clean sheets, 287 tackles (Most number of tackles in the EPL) and has a tackle success of 66%. He has recovered the ball 423 times and intercepted 165 times. He has also cleared the ball over 200 times!

His attacking stats are also equally good! He has given 7 assists, 179 crosses, 3 through balls and 72 accurate long balls.

I think he deserves better recognition as in my opinion he is one of the best Right Back’s today.

Most underrated players in premier League

Excellent analysis. No doubt he proved to be a worthy signing for Ole and gave the defense line the power to stand up against top teams. A clinical performance by Wan-Bissaka in his debut season for the Red Devils.

Is Willian Underrated?

Willian is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a winger or as an attacking midfielder for Chelsea…soon for Arsenal!

He is an excellent play maker and can create opportunities to score in any situation the team may be in! He has created sixty big chances.

His crosses are absolutely mind blowing. With over a 1000 crosses and 33 assists, his contribution to the winning rate of the team has been crucial.

He has taken over 390 shots out of which 145 were on target. He has a shooting accuracy of 37% and has scored 37 goals.

He also contributes to the teams defence with 25 tackles, 23 blocked shots and 20 interceptions this season.

In my opinion he is an amazing overall player and if not for the Arsenal deal, he is not a much talked about player.

What do you say about Raul Jimenez ?

Talk about setting a high standard right from the start. He was initially on a loan deal at Wolves in 2018-19 season where he scored 13 goals.Seeing his impressive gameplay Wolves snatched the loan deal into a permanent signing. And this year he has improved his tally by scoring 17 goals with 44 shots on target just behind the likes of Mo Salah and Gabriel Jesus and total shots of 118 next to Salah.
