NEW Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino claimed that he was joining “the greatest team in England” over the past 15 years. This has raised a lot of controversy in the football world over the past few days.

Based on trophies, Man City have overtaken the Blues as the most-successful side during the past 15 years following last season’s Treble-triumph.

Pochettino probably got carried away a bit. 
Chelsea’s performance in recent years has been mixed compared to other English teams. While they have won 21 trophies since 2004, including 5 Premier Leagues and 2 Champions Leagues, they have also struggled in recent seasons. In the 2022/23 Premier League season, they finished 12th with 44 points from 38 matches played, winning 11 matches, drawing 11, and losing 16.
It will be interesting to see if Pochettino can beat Man City in the upcoming season by securing a Treble triumph and then claim to be the best club in last 16 years by then.
