What next for Messi if PSG are knocked out of the Champions League?

PSG’s latest Champions League defeat opens up a new scenario for Leo Messi. The 0-1 loss this Tuesday at the Parc des Princes in the first leg of the round of 16 tie against Bayern Bayern compromises the great objective that the Parisian side have had for many years and for which they have not hesitated to spend huge sums of money.

Precisely this desire to win the Champions League for the last time and the problems that is attached with PSG project has to achieve it are the elements that make Lionel Messi doubt about his future. His contract expires next June and he has not yet sealed his renewal. He has had an offer on the table from PSG for months which he promised to respond to after the World Cup, but it is mid-February and he still hasn’t done so.

PSG getting knocked out of this season’s UCL will definitely lead to the sacking of head Coach, Christophe Galtier. The UCL has become a common metric for assessing managers in PSG in recent years and it would be nothing different this season too. There are already talks about PSG reappointing Thomas Tuchel after parting company with Gaiter.
