Manchester United’s start to the season has been anything but impressive, as the club finds itself sitting 13th in the Premier League rankings. A team with such a rich history and high expectations is undoubtedly leaving fans frustrated and bewildered.
What’s really going wrong? Is it the tactics, the squad selection, injuries, or something deeper within the club’s structure? Are the players failing to step up, or is the manager not getting it right?

In my opinion, Manchester United’s struggles this season boil down to a combination of poor squad management and deeper structural issues within the club. The team lacks a clear identity or style of play, which makes it difficult for them to impose themselves on games consistently.
Injuries to key players have also exposed a lack of depth in certain areas, but more concerning is the recruitment strategy. United seems to buy players without a cohesive plan, leading to a disjointed squad.
Additionally, there appears to be a lack of accountability and leadership on and off the pitch. The board’s decisions over the years have been questionable, and this has filtered down to the performances on the field.
Ultimately, fixing this goes beyond tactics—it requires a cultural and structural reset at the club.
