Liverpool’s 7-0 demolition of Manchester United was the latest result to give the club’s supporters renewed hope after a difficult 2022-23 season.

The Reds went into the campaign hoping to replicate their Quadruple-threatening exploits of the previous year but soon found themselves miles behind Premier League pace-setters Arsenal and Manchester City.

Liverpool’s 7-0 win over Manchester United was the biggest victory recorded in the fixture since it was first played in 1895. It also came just a week after United hadwon this season’s first piece of silverware.
