The most dominant footbal team today!

Can you guess which football team is currently most dominating in the world? If your answer is Bayern, Real or Liverpool, you would be wrong by far.

Ladies and gentleman, The most dominating football team in the world right now is Lyon! The Lyon team of ladies!

They have won 14 consecutive league domestic titles and 4 consecutive champions league titles. Only 5 league losses in those 14 seasons. Take that for dominance.

They also won in 2011-12 and were runner up in 2010 & 2013. They are now in semis for current season and may land their fifth consecutive title.

The reigning European champions are on track for a fifth successive title after beating their French rivals. Wendie Renard scored a 67th-minute header to secure a 1-0 win over PSG.

In Sunday’s final, Lyon will face Wolfsburg, which defeated Barcelona in the other semifinal on Tuesday.

Wolfsburg will be trying to win its third European title after back-to-back triumphs in 2013 and 2014.

Lyon, a six-time winner and a nine-time finalist, beat Wolfsburg in the 2018 final.

The final will played be at Real Sociedads Anoeta Stadium in the northern Spanish city of San Sebastin, which is hosting the mini-tournament that began with the quarterfinals.

Lyon are for very valid reasons considered the best women’s team in Europe. The club has for many years not just propagated but also practiced gender equality in the game, using the same training facilities, stadium and infrastructure for both the men and the women. The men’s team were duly lauded for their brilliant run to the semifinals of the Champions League. It was a brilliant underdog story, the tale of a French team without the riches but all the verve. The coin flips on the women’s side of the game. This team is no underdog. Lyon’s women have won the Champions League six times in their history. They have won it four years in a row as it stands right now.

The 2019-20 UEFA Women’s Champions League final tonight!

The two teams will feature Europe’s brightest stars with Wolfsburg’s attacking duo of Pernille Harder and Ewa Pajor, while Wendie Renard and Amel Majri look to continue Lyon’s reign.

And the brutal domination continues…

Indeed the dominance continues. French club wins Women’s Champions League for fifth consecutive season!
