Since his surprise inclusion against Chelsea on Boxing Day, Smith Rowe has been making the side tick. Fine displays against the Blues and then Brighton drew praise, but his all-action performance against West Brom was his finest to date.

The 20-year-old’s choice of pass, intelligent movement and selfless play turned Arsenal’s often stagnant attacking play into flowing football reminiscent of the club’s glory days.

He’s obviously made a huge impression at the North London club and the youngster is definitely one to watch out for this year.
