Messi for 7th Ballon d’Or!
It’s just amazing to see Messi be the front runner for 2021 Ballon d’Or but what I am excited about is his performance at the World Cup 2022.
I sincerely hope that Messi shines in the Qatar World Cup 2022 and wins the most coveted trophy before his inevitable retirement in few years. I hope the team performs top-notch and back him fully to work his magic all the way to a championship win!

LIONEL MESSI IS SIMPLY UNBELIEVABLE!
Lionel Messi was named Man of the Match in SIXTY-EIGHT percent of the games he played in 2021
Another day crazy Lionel Messi stat
Jorginho’s name has been put forward as a possible outsider in the running for this year’s Ballon d’Or, with the player himself admitting it will be hard to find someone who has amassed as many trophies as he has.
“We all have dreams, but I’ll be honest, it depends on the criteria a decision is made based on. If we’re talking about talent then I know I’m not the best in the world. But if it’s going on titles, then nobody has won more than I have this season. How could I compare myself to Messi, Neymar or Cristiano Ronaldo? They’ve completely different characteristics to me. But, I repeat, it depends on the criteria." says the Italian midfielder.
He actually has a point here! But we all know the award is based more on individual accolades rather than team achievement. The likes of Lionel Messi, Robert Lewandowski and Kylian Mbappe are most probably ahead of him in that aspect.
Jorginho still deserves a shout regardless though. I’m still backing him to be among the top 3 players for the award.
