OFC 6-5 SCEB

Worst game of football ever played in ISL.

These two are at the bottom and the reason is this.

We love to see goals in game of football but certainly not this.

If you add some salt to your food that makes it tasty but if you put a lot of salt the food is not edible.

Simply these two teams need complete reformation to be honest.

Few questions for Mr. Robby Fowler :

  1. Why not rafique was selected more frequently?
  2. Debjit was brilliant under the bar, then why you brought Subrata paul and makes debjit sit? Today OFC got 6 shots on target they got 6 goal that means Goal keeper contribution is ZERO.

Think twice the way you thinking. Making things complex is not always required and that may Leeds to miss out simple effective things.

I didn’t enjoy this game not at all.

The guys on both the sides seemed to have had a blast on the last day of the exam!

I am sure the bottom teams will have a good critical review of their performance for the entire season but the goals could be looked at as a consolation entertainment to the fans instead of signing off on an mundane note. :grinning:

Match Preview: FC Goa Vs Hyderabad

Both sides come into the match without having tasted defeat in nearly two months. Goa is unbeaten in 12 games while Hyderabad hasn’t lost in 11.

FC Goa and Hyderabad FC will be involved in a straight shoot-out for the last available Indian Super League (ISL) playoff spot when they meet at the Fatorda Stadium on Sunday. Goa, on 30 points, is ahead of Hyderabad by two and needs just a draw, while nothing other than a win will do for its opponent.

Both sides come into the match without having tasted defeat in nearly two months. Goa is unbeaten in 12 games while Hyderabad hasn’t lost in 11. In fact, the last match in which Hyderabad did not pick up points was against Goa, a 2-1 reverse in late December.

Hyderabad could have made life a bit easier for itself if it had beaten ATK Mohun Bagan (ATKMB) in the last game. It led until injury time despite playing almost the whole match with a man down, but had to settle for a draw courtesy Pritam Kotal’s late equaliser.

Its task on Sunday has now been made even more difficult because of the absence of three important players. Aridane Santana, Hyderabad’s top-scorer with 10 goals, is suspended after picking up his fourth caution. Defender Asish Rai is out for the season with an injury while Chinglensana Singh will be missing from the backline too, having received his marching orders against ATKMB.

Goa, though, needs to shore up its defence. It has shipped goals in 17 of the 19 games thus far, and Naveen Kumar and Dheeraj Singh, who have collectively taken on the burden of replacing goalie Mohammed Nawaz, still look shaky. But Ferrando remained confident and chose to place his faith on the team’s overall quality.

Hyderabad coach Manuel Marquez said

“We have shown during the course of the season that it’s not so important,” Hyderabad coach Manuel Marquez said about not having key personnel. “We played the other day without Asish. We played without Sana in the first game of the league and won.”

“We played without Aridane and with only two foreigners against ATK Mohun Bagan (in December) and drew. One of the strengths of this team is that they are very brave and confident in every game.”

Spanish coach Juan Ferrando insisted that there will be no let-up in his side’s intensity despite the fact that a draw would be sufficient.

“We have the same plan. If we are winning 1-0, our mentality is to score the second. If we are winning 2-0, our mentality is to score the third goal,” said Ferrando. “We want to play in attack because we want to win. We are only thinking about winning, not in draws.”

“We lost Brandon (Fernandes) but Romario (Jesuraj), Redeem (Tlang) or sometimes Devendra (Murgaogar) have worked very hard,” he said. “Glan (Martins) and Princeton (Rebello) for me are the best number 6 (pair) in the Indian Super League.”

“Yeah, we could have won more games but in the end, it’s very important to think game by game. We will train and depending on that we decide about our line-up and plan.”

Match Preview: Mumbai City Vs ATK Mohun Bagan

Mumbai City FC and ATK Mohun Bagan face off as they challenge for the top spot in Match 110 of Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2020-21 at the GMC Stadium in Bambolim in Sunday’s second game, which will also be the last game of the league stage this season. The Islanders took advantage of the Mariners’ 2-2 draw against Hyderabad FC and registered a commanding 6-1 win over Odisha FC in their last match to make Sunday’s tie a crucial one.

The Islanders need a win and nothing less in order to seal the top spot and consequently claim the League Winners Shield and qualify for the AFC Champions League group stage. Currently second, a victory will take Mumbai City FC level on points against ATK Mohun Bagan on 40 but they will move ahead of the Kolkata-based club on the basis of accumulating more points against them in the league stage. The Islanders have already beaten the Mariners once this season.

Although Mumbai City FC secured a 6-1 win over bottom-placed Odisha FC, they still have kinks in their backline which can be exploited by ATK Mohun Bagan. In fact, Odisha FC scored the first goal of that match before the Islanders ran amok to net six goals and change the complexion of the game. The Islanders have not kept a clean sheet in their last seven matches, and will need to be careful against the likes of Roy Krishna and David Williams.

ATK Mohun Bagan, on the other hand, will be disappointed with their result against Hyderabad FC earlier this week as a win would have sealed the top spot for them. They have been solid in the defensive third with just four goals conceded during their run of five wins before the draw. The two goals against Hyderabad FC were due to individual errors and playing against a team that can capitalise on such mistakes, the Mariners’ defenders will need to be careful on Sunday.
