Chennaiyin FC 0-1 Jamshedpur FC : FT

Jamshedpur FC didn’t do much for most part of the game but it was that one moment from David Grande when his shot deflected off Enes Sipovic into the goal helped Jamshedpur get a very important 1-0 win over Chennaiyin FC. The difficult season for Chennaiyin FC continues as they just can’t find the back of the net despite creating a whole lot of chances, especially in the first half. Thoi Singh had a huge chance to put Chennaiyin in the lead seconds before the Sipovic own goal but in the end, it was not to be and Chennaiyin go empty-handed once more.

Big Win for Owen Coyle and his boys today, with the win taking them above Chennaiyin on the league table and 5 points behind Hyderabad FC in 4th…it’s getting more tense and much more dramatic end to the ISL season.

Chennaiyin FC Head Coach Csaba Laszlo After the Match

“We have to go out and play football. We have three games to go and the playoffs with this game is not possible for us anymore. We are sportsmen and we have to try and win the remaining games. Today again I felt the better team lost. Football for us is very painful. I don’t understand that Thoi was clear and he tried to pass and then we are punished with an own goal. I am sorry for the boys, everybody tried their best. I put offensive people till the end because I wanted to win the game. But unfortunately, we lost.”

Jamshedpur FC Head Coach Owen Coyle After the Game

"I said to the boys, we had to keep trying. It was important three points for both teams. They are a dangerous team. Hopefully Valskis will be there for the next game vs ATK. We have not been with 5 foreigners for most part of the season, Grande is just coming back. As a coach, you have to look for different ways to win. It’s a marvellous three points.

Match preview: Odisha FC vs Kerala Blasters FC:

Odisha FC have had a forgetful ISL season so far. The Juggernauts have never managed to look like a settled unit and are yet to find their best starting line-up.

They are placed at the bottom of the league standings with just 8 points from 16 games. Odisha FC have mathematically been ruled out of a possible top-four finish and only have pride to play for.

Goalkeeping coach Gerry Peyton is in charge of Odisha FC after head coach Stuart Baxter’s contract was terminated by the club for making irresponsible comments.

Odisha will miss the services of Manuel Onwu, Daniel Lalhlimpuia, and Gaurav Bora due to injuries in the game against Kerala Blasters FC.

Kerala Blasters FC find themselves in a relatively better position as far as the league standings are concerned. They occupy the 10th place in the table and have earned 15 points from 16 ISL games.

Kibu Vicuna’s side need to win the remainder of their four fixtures and hope that other results go their way for an outside chance of making it to the top-four.

The Blasters had a horrific start to the season, but have shown signs of improvement since then. They have come close to defeating the stronger sides in the league like Mumbai City FC and ATK Mohun Bagan FC. But due to their lack of precision, the Blasters have been unable to convert chances in the final third.

Facundo Pereyra is in quarantine after he sustained a fracture in his nasal bones and will be unavailable for selection against Odisha FC.

Kerala Blasters have conceded 27 goals so far (highest) while Odisha have conceded 25 (second highest). Interestingly, Kerala conceded 27 goals after 16 matches last season too, while Odisha conceded 23 goals after 15 matches last season.

Who will come out on top tonight?
