Match 40 - RR vs SRH: Must-win game for Rajasthan and Hyderabad
Both sides will be eager to get their season going and close the gap on the 4th placed Kolkata. SRH are currently at the 2nd last place on the standings table with just 6 points from 9 games while Royals are a notch ahead with 8 points.
Steven Smith’s Rajasthan have been a hit and miss so far but will look to build on their comprehensive win against CSK in the last game. One more loss would make it extremely difficult for the Royals to stay alive for the play offs.
Warner’s Hyderabad are on a free fall and are on a 3-game losing streak. SRH haven’t won a game while chasing this season, losing on all 4 occasions. They will be eager to bounce back from their Super Over heartbreak against Kolkata.
RR Playing XI:
Ben Stokes, Robin Uthappa, Sanju Samson(w), Steven Smith(c), Jos Buttler, Riyan Parag, Rahul Tewatia, Jofra Archer, Shreyas Gopal, Ankit Rajpoot, Kartik Tyagi
SRH Playing XI:
David Warner(c), Jonny Bairstow(w), Priyam Garg, Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, Abdul Samad, Jason Holder, Rashid Khan, Shahbaz Nadeem, Sandeep Sharma, T Natarajan
*Kane Williamson has been ruled out due to injury.
I am excited finally Holder gets a chance. He was one of the most eligible among players missing out.
I also believe RR could pull a trick of moving stokes down the order and open with Parag. This will give excitement at the top and meat in the middle for RR.
