Rohit Sharma’s fitness is still an unsolved puzzle but Mumbai will look to continue their good batting form. Pandya has arrived to the party, just at the right moment for MI! Suryakumar Yadav Steers Mumbai Against RCB

MI win by 5 wickets with 5 balls left

Surya hit the winning four and did a Cristiano Ronaldo. He gestured to the dressing room signalling them to stay calm.

A disheartening moment for RCB though. Devdutt Padikkal’s outstanding 74 off 45 balls failed short to secure a win for RCB.

With this win, MI have virtually sealed a play-off spot at 16 points

Suryakumar Yadav definitely deserves to play for India. His strike rate has been excellent this season. Great game for Mumbai. They qualify for the playoffs.

I have no doubt Surya is an excellent player. But we need to remember what he is up against. He needs to compete against Rahul, Pant, Manish Pandey, Iyer. Also Rahane, Karun etc have been waiting in the wings for a while now. Dhavan is not going to let it go easily too.

He will need to wait till a couple of these have a real bad patch and prove is consistency in various conditions and across formats.
