Following Belgium’s shocking loss to Morocco, three first-team players got into a heated argument.

Rumors of discord inside the team have long existed, and they got worse when De Bruyne claimed that the team was “too old” to win this year’s World Cup. Vertonghen then mockingly remarked after the loss, “I guess we attack badly because we are also too old up front.”

According to recent reports, there was a significant altercation between Kevin De Bruyne, Jan Vertonghen, and Eden Hazard following the game, and Romelu Lukaku was compelled to step in.

But the discord inside the ranks doesn’t end there. Additionally, there are rumors that Lukaku and Batshuayi, Hazard and Lisandro Trossard, and others do not get along. De Bruyne and Thibaut Courtois, however, haven’t communicated in a long time due to matters personal to them off the field.

Given that several of Belgium’s main players may not play in another World Cup, they appear to have allowed bloated egos to prevent the so-called “golden generation” from experiencing any significant success in tournament football.

Argentina beat Poland 2-0 to qualify for last 16 from Group C

Lionel Messi’s Argentina beat Poland 2-0 in their final World Cup Group C match to advance to the knockout stage where they will face Australia.

Argentina topped the standings on six points. Midfielder Alexis MacAllister put Argentina ahead straight after the break with a low first-time shot after a flowing passing move, while Julian Alvarez shot past Poland goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny in the 67th minute to make it 2-0. In the first half, Szczesny was Poland’s hero as he made a diving stretch save to deny Messi a penalty, awarded after his outstretched hand made contact with the Argentine striker’s face.
