United’s FA Cup Story So Far | Leicester City v Manchester United | FA Cup
Ahead of the Reds’ FA Cup Quarter-Final clash against the Foxes, a look back on the previous wins against Watford, Liverpool and West Ham in the competition so far!
Man United 1-0 Watford
Man United 3-2 Liverpool
Man United 1-0 West Ham
Manchester United have won each of the previous two FA Cup clashes with Leicester City, a 2-1 win in the fifth round in 1976 and a 3-1 victory in the 1963 final of the competition - lifting the trophy for the third time.
Leicester, who have lost each of their last five quarter-final ties in the FA Cup, last reached the semi-final of the competition back in 1982, when they lost 0-2 to eventual winners Tottenham Hotspur at Villa Park.
Manchester United have won 12 of their last 15 FA Cup matches away from home (D1 L2), with their two defeats during this run coming at the quarter-final stage, versus Chelsea in 2016-17 and Wolves in 2018-19.
3 - Among Premier League sides, only Arsenal (4) have scored more own goals in all competitions this season than Sheffield United (3), though Arsenal have played 10 games more than the Blades. Sabotage.
7 - Chelsea have kept a clean sheet in seven successive matches, their longest run since December 2005 (also seven); they’ve only had one longer run in their history - nine games ending in December 1905. Impenetrable.
