Wow! Congratulations Villarreal!

De Gea MISSES. Hard Luck!
Highest admiration to the goalkeepers of the world! I think goalkeeper is the silent pillar of the team. A position so silent for majority of the game yet so crucial. At penalty shoot-out I can imagine the pressure they must be facing as one slight flinching becomes the game decider. Growing up, my parents used to often remind us of the phrase “Money saved in money gained.” I think this phrase can be tweaked a bit for football: “Goals saved are goals scored.”
Unai Emery What an incredible run! Hats off!
1983 - Following last night’s penalty shootout loss to Villarreal and their 2018 FA Cup final defeat to Chelsea, Manchester United have lost back-to-back major European/domestic finals for the first time since losing the 1979 FA Cup final and the 1983 League Cup final.
