Enzo Fernández’s father Raúl has replied to racism accusations with public statement

“I know who my son is. He is not like that! He’s not racist, never! It’s hard for a European to understand our football culture like chants and celebrations”.

My opinion on this issue is that……while the chants may have been insensitive and divisive, it’s important to consider the context and intent behind them. If the chants were solely focused on criticizing players’ choices and not targeting their race or ethnicity, it might be considered nationalism or criticism rather than racism. However, if the chants implied that players were less authentic or loyal because of their racial or ethnic background, that could be perceived as racist.
