Honestly, I’m not a fan of LaLiga allowing matches to be played abroad. While I understand the desire to grow the league’s global presence and attract new fans, I believe it undermines the integrity and tradition of the competition.

LaLiga is Spain’s top division, and its matches should be played in Spain. The passion, culture, and history of the league are deeply rooted in the country, and playing games abroad dilutes that. It’s like taking a piece of Spanish football culture and selling it to the highest bidder.

Moreover, it’s unfair to the fans who support their teams week in, week out. They deserve to see their team play in their home stadium, not in some neutral venue halfway around the world. And what about the away fans who travel to support their team? It’s a huge undertaking, and playing games abroad makes it even harder for them.

I get that it’s a business decision, but sometimes you have to prioritize the heart and soul of the game over profits. LaLiga should focus on growing its fanbase organically, not by sacrificing the essence of the competition.
