I don’t think so.

India has won the last two Border-Gavaskar series in Australia (2018-19 and 2020-21). Agree, India enters this series after experiencing a disappointing run against New Zealand, where they suffered three consecutive Test defeats at home. This has raised concerns about their form and confidence heading into the challenging Australian conditions. However, I think the loss at home to New Zealand has helped them to reassess and they will back in the game to claim the trophy for the third consecutive time.

Skipper Rohit Sharma is all set to fly out to Australia in the coming days. He is expected to join the team in Perth on November 24, the third day of the first Test at Optus Stadium. His departure to Australia was delayed in view of the birth of his second child.
