If anyone who is following Griezmann’s desperation to leave Atletico from last year, you’ll be aware that Griezmann rejected an offer from Barcelona last year and revealed his thought process in a documentary called ‘The Decision’. Last year Atletico also approached FIFA and reported an alleged illegal approach in December 2017. He then signed a 5-year contract to stay in Metropolitan last summer. Now in another video, via Atlético’s official social media channels after meeting with Diego Simeone the team’s manager and the chief executive, Miguel Ángel he’s confirmed that he’ll be leaving Atletico.
Barcelona will have to pay the buyout clause in Griezmann’s contract of 120m euros and if this move is confirmed it will place huge doubt over the future of Philippe Coutinho at the Nou Camp. Do you think Barcelona are playing right on the money?

This will be a big blow to Atléticofans! They witnessed heart breaking departure of Lucas Hernandez to Bayern Munich and another club legend, Diego Godín, The Uruguayan, who is set to join Internazionale after receiving official farewell in his final home game for the club on Sunday.

Even if he is greedy, He has right to be greedy! Wouldn’t Atletico dump him if he starts to fail or if they get a better alternative?! He has only that long shelf life, he needs to make most of it.
Player and Team keep changing each other as per their needs and strategy. Not fair to be judgmental.

No. They don’t need any more forwards. They already have a lot. Dembele Coutinho Malcolm and what not. I don’t even see the use of griezmann in this Barcelona squad

Yes, Barcelona need a fresh face in the lineup to relieve Suarez who has been inconsistent and erratic and Griezmann would be perfect for the Catalan club given his versatility and excellent link-up play. He will be a major boost in Barcelona’s bid to win the Champions League.

Messi, griezmann, suarez. With malcolm and dembele being backups or one of these will be sold. In case they sign neymar which is looking difficult abhi, it will be griezmann, neymar and suarez with messi playing just behind them. I think a 4-2-1-3 sort of formation. Messi playing a cam. Or even suarez can be dropped and it could be messi - griezmann - neymar.

On this day in 2019, Antoine Griezmann was presented at Camp Nou for a record-breaking fee of 120 million euro.
