AIFF to conduct the Indian Super League!
"The AIFF Emergency Committee met today (January 3, 2025) to consider and acknowledge the report submitted by the AIFF-ISL Coordination Committee.
"The Coordination Committee was requested to submit its report to the AIFF Secretariat by January 2, 2025, which was duly complied with. The report was formally acknowledged by the AIFF Emergency Committee, which recommended that the league be conducted by the All India Football Federation.
“Accordingly, the AIFF will conduct the league, and the date of commencement will be announced next week,” the Federation said in a statement.

‘Play or get relegated’
During Tuesday’s meetings, four Indian Super League clubs were hesitant to confirm their participation, with three of them being Odisha, FC Goa and Chennaiyin FC.
The clubs requested a 24-hour window to get back to their owners and confirm participation. However, with the urgency at hand — the ISL has already been delayed by four months — the clubs were given a 30-minute ultimatum.
“We were told either play or get relegated,” an ISL club official told.
