Are you wondering why Rudiger wearing a mask tonight? Well, I was curious too. 
Apparently Rudiger, 28, suffered a facial injury in Chelsea’s 1-1 first leg draw with Real Madrid.
He was then seen wearing a protective mask in the second leg, which the Blues won 2-0 to reach the Champions League final.

Edouard Mendy is the first African goalkeeper to win the UCL!
- He kept 10 clean sheets in 12 games, conceding just twice. No keeper has ever kept more in a single campaign in the competition (level with Santiago Cañizares for Valencia in 2000-01 and Keylor Navas for Real Madrid in 2015-16).
- Mendy’s nine clean sheets for Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League this season is the most ever by a goalkeeper in their maiden campaign in the competition.
