Erik ten Hag said Manchester United will “think about” appealing Casemiro’s red card against Crystal Palace.
Casemiro was dismissed in the 70th minute after the Video Assistant Referee advised his tangle with Palace counterpart Will Hughes was violent conduct and warranted a straight red card. The sending off means Casemiro will miss next week’s Premier League double-header against Leeds United, as well as the visit of Leicester City on February 19.
Ten Hag: “We have to think about [appealing]. But be fair, we have seen when you’re freezing (the frame), Casemiro is crossing the line. But many more players were crossing the line there.
"We get also some warnings about our team reacting like this and I think you have to do it, you have to protect each other but we want to keep our standards and values at Man United, keep them high.
