It has recently been reported that Liverpool have no plans to sign Timo Werner this summer. A few fans might be surprised as he has been strongly tipped to make the move to Liverpool in the near future.
The buzz had a base as Werner’s contract, which runs until 2023, contains a release clause of around €60m, that has to be activated by April. It was also reported that Klopp was interested in bringing in Timo.
Werner himself was seen interested and once had labelled Liverpool as the best team in the world at the moment. He also named Klopp as the best coach in the world.
But in spite of all this, the transfer this summer seems unlikely. Sky Sports reporter Vinny O’Connor has stated that he was informed Liverpool had no plans to sign Werner in January, and that same stance applies for the summer market.
Timo Werner is desperate to play in the Premier League, and said “yes” to join Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp is a massive influence for Timo’s decision.
It is reported that Liverpool looking at a Brazilian teenager, Vasco da Gama forward Talles Magno. He is a 17 year old who is often labelled “Next Neymar”.
Liverpool looks keen to strengthen this close season, but don’t want to spend large amounts.

Timo has a release clause valued at £53m this summer. But that figure drops to £35m in 2021 and just £22m in 2022. If Timo stays and gets closer to the end of his Leipzig contract, He would have a easier transfer to Liverpool.
Liverpool have been trying to get Timo for much of this season. But, Timo is believed to have talked to Barcelona, Chelsea and United representatives as well.

Werner is till now believed to be set for Liverpool. Another team with faint chance was Bayern Munich. But, Timo is said to have changed his stance and now may consider a move to Italy.
Inter Milan has been interested in Werner and now may target him once they have liquidity once the sale of Lautaro Martinez materializes.
