IPL 2020: General News, Opinions and IPL Records

Highest Strike rate in an IPL Season (Minimum 200 Runs)

Russell - 204.82 (2019)
Russell - 192.90 (2015)
Hardik - 191.43 (2019)
Krunal - 191.13 (2016)
Narine - 189.89 (2018)
Maxwell - 187.76 (2014)
Pollard - 185.71 (2010)
Russell - 184.80 (2018)
Sehwag - 184.55 (2008)

Russel is a runaway leader, I am surprised to see Krunal here though!

One more thing to note is 6 of the 10 entries are for lower order bats. Sustaining high strike rate for a top order bat is a bit difficult as he will bat more in middle overs. (Unless like Naraine you are sent as a slam bang short cameos).

WIth Rohit, Viru, Kohli, Yuvi in the top order is full. GG is fighter but will surely loose against these.

And, Only one spinner. But, May be Ashwin could have been better choice.

During a live session for the Delhi Capitals, Prithvi Shaw has named Gabbar as his favorite opening partner. He chooses Gabbar over Rohit, Pant and brigade!

His logic is brilliantly simple : “Shikhar Dhawan because I have opened with him most.” :grinning:
