FIFA World Cup 2022 match schedule confirmed.
Host Qatar will kick-off the tournament at Al-Bayt Stadium on Sun 20 November 2022 at 13:00 local time* (11:00 CET).
Final confirmed to take place at 80,000-seat Lusail Stadium at 18:00 local time on 18 December.

The 2022 football World Cup in Qatar, first time in the history, will have four games every day in a 12-day group stage and matches later in the tournament that go into extra time will extend past midnight.

Fifa released the schedule for the first World Cup to be played in November and December on Wednesday, with kick-off times at 1pm (3.30pm IST), 4pm (6.30pm IST), 7pm (9.30pm IST) and 10pm (12.30am IST).

This will be the second World Cup held entirely in Asia after the 2002 tournament in South Korea and Japan. Qatar who hosted the FIFA Club world cup in 2019 have made recent developments and three of the 6 stadiums have been declared open. The tournament promises to be different from other FIFA tournamentsfrom operational point of view and experience point of view.

FIFA World Cup 2022 Venues

The 64 match competition shall be played across eight venues in Qatar. The tournament opener will be hosted at the Al Bayt Stadium whilst the largest of all eight venues, Lusail Stadium shall be the home for the final on December 18.

Senegal and the Netherlands will kick off the 2022 World Cup in the Group A fixture on Monday, November 21. England will play Iran in the Group B match on the opening day while hosts Qatar will also feature in their Group A game against Ecuador.
