However, I was disappointed to see Turkey’s performance on several fronts.
Turkey managed to score only one goal while conceding 7 goals.
Lost all 3 games.
The only other country who lost all 3 games was North Macedonia but they had at least 2 attempts that hit the woodwork. Also it was North Macedonia’s first appearance in a major tournament on a big stage. Considering their debutant participation, they had few things going their way under the leadership of veteran striker Goran Pandev.

Burak Yilmaz attempted 10 shots but could not score a single. He also ranks among the players who missed the most big chances (3).
However, on the brighter side goalkeeper Uğurcan Çakır seemed to be the busiest and guarding the fort to his best.
I thought all the Spanish legends like Ramos and Pique were gone so I had almost signed them off, but it seems like the new team is doing just as well.
The star-studded line-up has not shown exceptional performance so far. Except Mbappe (most touches in the opposite box) none of the other players lead the stats.
I’ll go with Italy
Considering their recent struggles in major tournaments, The Italians have turned up well at the Euros so far
I’ve been most disappointed with England
England might have topped their group, but they’ve been far from their best across all three games of the group stages. Despite all the attacking talents in that team, they’ve managed to score just twice and are really struggling to create chances!
Patrick Shick is undoubtedly my player of the tournament so far
With 3 goals in 3 games and a spectacular worldie against Scotland. No one expected the Czech Republic international to thrive the way he did.

The Portuguese ace also has an assist which would allow him to beat Schick even though both are on five goals. Sterling, Kane and Dolberg are all on three.
Even though his team were knocked out of Euro 2020 by Denmark, Czech Republic striker Patrik Schick managed to get on the scoresheet during the game to take his personal tally to five - level with Cristiano Ronaldo. However, the Portuguese star remains on course to win the Gold Boot award despite having scored the same amount of goals as Schick - that is unless another player still in the tournament manages to score six…
UEFA explained the procedure for determining who ends as the tournament’s top scorer in case two or more players end on the same number of goals. Schick ended Euro 2020 with five goals, including one from the penalty spot. Cristiano also finished on five goals - three of them were penalties, but he also gave an assist, setting up Diogo Jota in the 2-4 defeat to Germany.
