Which teams have qualified for FIFA World Cup 2026?

The 2026 World Cup will have a record 48 teams. New Zealand qualified on Monday, five days after Japan.

The tournament runs from June 11 to July 19 in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.

Forty-three teams qualify through continents, two via playoffs. Iran can secure a spot by beating Uzbekistan Tuesday.

Mexico City’s iconic Estadio Azteca will host the opening match of the 2026 World Cup on 11 June 2026, having previously hosted two World Cup finals and the gold medal match at the Olympic Games Mexico City 1968.

The 2026 World Cup final will be held at the New York New Jersey Stadium on 19 July 2026, marking the second men’s World Cup final hosted in the USA, following the 1994 edition.
