In January 2014, Leicester signed a little-known winger for $600K from Ligue 2 side Le Havre.

He was named Man of the Match in the UEFA Champions League final, UEFA Champions League Player of the Season, FIFA Club World Cup Player of the Tournament and Best Player at the UEFA Nations League Finals.

He was not named in the 2023 FIFPRO World 11 and finished 5th in the Ballon d’Or and joint-5th in the FIFA Best Men’s Player.
