Fast bowling is not just about pace but it also requires variations, accuracy and the ability to outwit the batsmen ball-after-ball.

Mohammad Asif, a brilliant swing bowler. The man who could make a cricket ball move in either directions even in the most unfavourable conditions… In 2010, Asif was ranked second leading Test bowler, just behind Dale Steyn.

In 2006, Asif was involved in controversy after he tested positive for anabolic steroid Nandrolone leading to the imposition of a ban which was later overturned on appeal. In August 2010 he was accused by the News of the World of deliberately bowling no-balls in return for payment from a betting syndicate.

In November 2011, Asif was convicted, along with Salman Butt and Mohammad Amir, of conspiracy charges relating to spot-fixing. On 3 November 2011, Asif was given a one-year prison sentence for his role in the scandal.

One of the most Intelligent Bowler of his era fell to the whims of a stupid Book maker …

Curtly Embrose, Can walk rightfully in to the anybodies All time XI. Spearheaded WI in it’s waning years. If only WI had a bit better batting unit at that time, This man would have made WI unbeatable! He was equally effective in Tests & ODIs.

THAT STARE! No theatrics of current lot can scare batters as much as his stare! :muscle:

Australian Dennis Lillee is the greatest fast bowler in the 70s and early 80s and among the best of all time. He was extraordinarily fast and even on flat wickets was a batsman’s nightmare. He was the first bowler to take 350 Test wickets.

Lillee was known for his fiery temperament, ‘never-say-die’ attitude and popularity with the fans.
